- As an entrepreneur, can you tell me how the COVID pandemic has affected the activities of an investor?
Like many other people and businesses, we were also affected, with the only difference being that we actively learned how to adapt and deal with these harsh challenges. As an investor, we always have short, medium and long term plans, and especially we take advantage of COVID to implement projects that without COVID would be impractical and would be impossible to launch. illusory part.
Why do you consider it unrealistic and illusory?
Three years ago, I wrote two books “Love & Compassion” and “Vietnam, the Country of Love & Compassion”, fortunately, well received by friends and the community. I cherish an intention to transform that thought into products and services to convey the message of Love in a more concrete, practical and effective way than two books that not everyone reads. I have chosen two strategic products: Tea and bottled water with Vietnamese brands and international standards. But what I wonder is that before COVID, the pace of life in society was very fast, reeling with money and fame, only a few people had time to slow down to think about the meaning of the two words “Love & Compassion” and nothing more. interested in products with the brand name “Love & Compassion”!
Was taking the opportunity to launch a new product planned, strategic, or a tactical coincidence?
Honestly, use both. For example, investing in the development of raw material areas, training human resources and building factories is a long-term, strategic work that we have done many years ago, today’s achievements are thanks to the steadfast in a strategic vision. That is a necessary condition for a long-term strategy and in a clear plan, a natural birth.
But choosing a brand for the product, the time of the product’s birth and the positioning of the brand is timely. Vietnam has become a rare bright spot of the global during the COVID pandemic, having won achievements that the world considers miraculous and wondrous such as preventing the spread, protecting people’s precious lives, the miraculous socio-economic stability. Therefore, we have time to learn the magic of the country not only in the above manifestations but also in its potentialities such as geology, soil, and climate. All of our products originate from the motherland, from Tea of Love, to Water of Love and also ceramics of Love… are all in the strategic, long-term investment calculation. But to get the attention of the domestic and international community, because COVID has made the whole world want to learn about Vietnam, products from Vietnam have become of special interest. Therefore, we take advantage of this opportunity, and consider it a blessing and a privilege to communicate the unique values of the country through the core value of the product to the domestic and international community.
However, most businesses are facing the challenge that social distancing will cause a halt in the production speed and the process of bringing products to market, what about you?
Of course there is an impact if we don’t find the positive side of COVID and we focus on exploiting the positive. For example: Even if I can’t take advantage of this opportunity, I will spend time directly doing things that I haven’t been able to do much for a long time and in detail such as directly contacting the manufacturer, approving samples. code, go down to the factory to work with workers, build communication strategies, such as passionately giving interviews like this with her. In addition, due to the increase in labor supply, input suppliers have a large inventory of goods, so we have many high-quality job profiles to choose from, and suppliers are all faster and more enthusiastic in implementing contracts. , the product is more elaborate. And the special thing is that our product is aimed at the end consumer, and their experience is only optimal if they take the time to enjoy the product, now it becomes ideal.
